Creative Animal Sculpture Workshop
In this workshop, students will create an animal of their choice through hand-building techniques, primarily through solid building that will be hollowed out. We will cover basic anatomy and proportions, capture gestures and expressions, and learn tricks for animal texture. Explore your sculptural possibilities and express your ideas beyond literal interpretation. The goal of this workshop is not to make a realistic copy of an animal rather capture its spirit. PLACER ARTISTS STUDIO TOUR
Celebrating its 28th year, the Placer Artists Studios Tour is the largest and longest-standing Visual Art Studio Tour in the region. Held annually Friday, Saturday and Sunday on Veteran’s Day weekend, this self-driving tour features between 75-100 visual artists in Placer County studios spanning Colfax to Granite Bay.
GENERAL GOMEZ ARTS will have an amazing gallery, multiple open studios, live music, and a no host bar sponsored by The Station. JCLee Studios will have a live portrait workshop (start to finish) all weekend.
